Just a Beautiful Day!

Welcome back to my Blog!

I can't believe that July is almost over! Which also means that summer is almost halfway over too!  (It's going WAY too fast!)

For my second project of July I again used the "Truly Scrumptious" line from The Paper Loft.  Only THIS time I added in some scrap paper from my stash.  I had some really pretty Teresa Collins paper left over from a project and a few scraps of paper from My Mind's Eye.  I thought that the colors were complimentary to those of The Paper Loft so i used them!

Here is the layout that i created:

The "Sun" is actually cut from a Floral Template 1T (I used the Yellow Teresa Collins Paper for this).  Also, one of the clouds (Wacky 2T) was cut from a scrap of My Mind's Eye paper that i had laying around. I also used stickles on each of white dots on the My Mind's Eye paper. (There really is not a good way to photograph stickles, but trust me!  This page looks really pretty in person)

The little bird (Nature 1T)  was also cut from the same paper used for the sun and is actually the leaf Template (Nature 1T) from the Tiny Nature Template Set.  The bird's wing is a Wing from the Butterfly Template (Nature 2T) that is also from the Tiny Nature Template Set.

For the borders of my page I used the Madison Avenue Designer Template set.  I usually combine sets, but this time I stayed with main set.

Just a note!  I love Pop-Dots!  I mean I REALLY love Pop-Dots!  The Sun, the clouds, the bird's wing, the lollipop flowers, the arrow and the title are ALL Pop-Dotted.  Some elements of the page (like the sun and the arrow are actually "Double" Pop-Dotted. Here's what it looks like from a different view:

I like to add gemstones to a LOT of my layouts and since this was a girly layout I had to do it again! I absolutely LOVE the way that this layout turned out and hope that you enjoy it too!

If you'd like to re-create this layout here is a list of the Templates that I used:
Madison Avenue: 2A, 1B, 3B

Hello Everyone! I'm Jill Cornelius and I'm SO excited to be able to tell everyone that I am now a part of the Kiwi Lane Design Team! I usually show my completed projects to my friends, but since I had to keep it a secret I wasn't able to...so I showed my project to my cat! He really didn't have much to say about it though.  Hopefully you all will like it!

For my first ever Kiwi Lane Design Project I was given the "Truly Scrumptious" line from The Paper Loft. Isn't this paper the cutest! And it's NOT just Patterned Paper....There is ALSO a Coordinating Distressed Card Stock Collection AND Coordinating Accessory Sheets

Embellished with Hearts and Dots and Stripes, this line from The Paper Loft inspired me to create a page about someone I truly love! My daughter!

Here's my layout!

For this layout I used the following Designer Templates

In case you haven't noticed from my project photo, I tend to use a LOT of Design Templates.  I like to mix them up (a lot).  One template that I used differently on this page is the Tiny Wacky Template (2T).  Even though there IS a Cloud Template in the "Celebrate" Set, I wanted to use something different.  This little "Wacky" Template did the trick!  I cut out three shapes for each page and layered the middle "Cloud" on top of the outside "Clouds".  I think it turned out REALLY cute!

Since the paper line I used was "Girly" to me, I thought that if I used a mostly Masculine Template with the "Girly" paper it would add a different perspective to the Template.  Adding Buttons, Rhinestones, AND Rick Rack added to the overall theme of my layout.

But i wasn't done yet!  I HAD to add a Scallop Border in my layout somewhere!  And I found the perfect spot!  Under the sticker title.
Did you notice I also changed the title just a little bit?  It originally said "You are one in a million"...but I used the Mother Cardstock Accessory Sheet  and changed it to "one of a kind".

Today is a GREAT Day!

Yes it is.

I woke up thinking it was Saturday.

Saturdays are GREAT days!

You get to sleep in.

You get to watch cartoons.

You get to have breakfast with your family.

You can spend the morning just laying around if you want to, or doing the lawn, or errands, or cleaning (yuck).

You can go out to lunch with your daughter.

Or you can just lay around the house....and nap.

Then I realized.....

It's Tuesday!

Tuesday is a GREAT day!

Only FOUR more days until Saturday!

Have a Great one!
