Christmas in July Part 2: Christmas Cards!

For my Second July project for My Scrap Chick I wanted to show everyone some really cute and really easy to make cards!  In this post I"ll share with you both my cards and the links for you to purchase the svg files!

When I first saw the Gentle Snowflake Card file I knew that i had to cut the snowflake out of Glittery Paper!  And that's just what i did!  But not only did i use the Silver Glitter Paper, but I also added some Bling Strips to the back half of the card.  The combination of the two has the end result of a super Glittery Blinged out card which I love!  The patterned paper that I used for the background  behind the snowflake is from Hobby Lobby. To top off the Glittery Snowflake I added a single clear rhinestone to the center of the Snowflake.

For the second card that I made, I used the Bird Takes Flight Card File.  If you see this file in the shop at My Scrap Chick you might think that it's an Easter Card or an Everyday Card.  But, if you change the Bird from Blue to Red, add in some Christmas Paper, and a Christmas Greeting on the tag, then you will have a Super Cute Christmas Card!  I added in some pop dots under the bird and under the tag, some swirly red ribbon, and then some Stickles for the bird's eye.

The Deer Quick Card is actually TWO cards in one!  When you cut one image you actually have two parts.  You have the negative image of where the deer was, and then you have the deer itself.  Why not use both?  So i did!  I LOVE both cards.  Again the paper i used for both cards is from the same paper stack that I purchased from Hobby Lobby and used in the Gentle Snowflake Card.

I hope you enjoyed lookin at my cards!  And I can't wait to share my next project with you!

Merry Christmas! Well, Christmas in July at least! :-)

Happy July Everyone!

I know that there are a lot of scrapbookers out there that aren't even thinking about Christmas yet. But for each Scrapbooker who isn't thinking of it, there are more who are!

I am one of those.

For the Month of July My Scrap Chick is having there Christmas in July event, where each of the Design Team Members share a Christmas project with everyone.  Afterall, Christmas is ONLY six months away.  And, if you're a Craft Show Crafter like I am, and you haven't started anything yet, then you're behind!

For my project this month I decided to make a Sleigh.  Now, truth be told, when we were asked to make a Christmas in July project I knew "EXACTLY" what I wanted to make.  I actually purchased the SVG File for the Sleigh from My Scrap Chick last year, in hopes of making several for Christmas Craft Shows.  We all know how that went, don't we?  Yeah...I didn't make any.  So this Sleigh, yes "this" one...is my first!

I even made a little "present" to put in the sleigh!  And i decorated it with a handmade Poinsettia! Okay, i have to be completely honest here...I decided to make the bag of chocolate kisses with the Poinsettia just so I would have to go out and buy some Chocolate!

Another view of the sleigh and it's "Present".

I LOVE everything about my project...but i think the "Believe" Frame is my MOST Favorite!
It's just Pretty to me!  For the frames I simply went to The Dollar Store.  Yes...I"m frugal like that! And, you know what else?  These frames are actually recycled from my Valentines Day Project....

And since i made the "Believe" frame I had to make one that said "Ho Ho Ho"
Still thinking of making one that says "Ho 3"
