How many times can you hear the word "No"?

How many times can you hear the word "No"?

How many times can you hear the word and still be okay?

The answer: 16

In the past year I have submitted to 16 Design Team Calls. All of them have one thing in common. The word "No".

The latest came today. I'm sad. Yes, I will admit it. I'm sad. I really wanted it. But life will go on. you know....it really will. But still there's that burning question of what didn't they like?
I thought outside of the box, I made things that I thought they would like....and I liked them too. But the answer was still no.

So what am I going to do about it? Give up? Not scrapbook anymore? Nope. I"m going to keep on keeping on and still do my hobby. I'd love to find a manufacturer that would really love my work, someone who would love whatever I made. So I guess I have to continue to search for that "perfect fit".

But for right now...I can be sad. Because. It's O.K.

You are totally entitled to feel sad. I send you many hugs!!! I heard no a lot in this arena, too -- and I stopped asking, because I realized that I just wasn't willing to put the energy into finding "that fit". If you've got the drive, and you want to find that niche, then I say hang in there, girlfriend. We already know you've got talent ... ya just gotta find the right people who wanna milk it for all its worth! *hug*!!

it's ok to be sad but, like susanne said, we all know you have the stuff it takes. we all love your work. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Ken says "She has incredible talent. They are fools for turning her down. *pause* You can tell her I said that." :) He LOVED the cat & mouse LO!

Jill, it certainly is their loss!! You certainly have talent and I am honored that you are one of "our" designers.
